Bhakti Center will celebrate Pearl Festival 2016 which is Birth day of Srimati Radharani.
In observance of the appearance of Srimati Radharani, the embodiment of Bhakti and the feminine energy of the Divine, The Bhakti Center will host the 5th Annual Pearl Festival on September 17th.
In the Gaudiya Vaishnava Bhakti tradition Srimati Radharani is seen as the source of the other goddesses. Just as Lord Krishna is Deva-deva, the source of all other manifestations and incarnations of God, Radharani is the source of all expansions of the energies of God – the shaktis, or other goddesses.
This festival will bring together a community to share their time and talents creating a beautiful celebration in a way that has been done for centuries in Vrindavan Dham, the holy town and center of the bhakti tradition. With sweet music, meaningful discussion, a delicious feast, and devotion infused decoration and worship, festivals of this kind stir the depths of the heart and engage all the senses in a most pleasing practice of devotional yoga.
A special feature of this festival is that all guests will receive the opportunity to write a prayer on a paper pearl and offer it, along with a real pearl, to Radharani. All the real pearls will be collected, strung into a necklace and offered to Radharani.
An exceptional vegetarian feast will be served beginning at 8:15pm. Please come to experience true Bhakti culture and bring some friends! The full schedule is below.
