Among the purposes of ISKCON left by our Founder-Acarya, education is paramount. No society can improve and maintain its members in a higher level of consciousness without proper education at different levels. All over the world, thousands of discussions, workshops, conferences and experiments are made in order to find educational solutions for the problems of human society, but all of them fail in the short or long term. We as ISKCON members have the duty to understand and apply the magnificent principles of education given in our scriptures and propagated by all our acaryas in order to transform the face of the globe into a positive and spiritual environment.
With more than 30 years of experience in Vedic education, the Bhaktivedanta Academy is facilitating Para Siksa — A Symposium on Vedic Education to discuss and present practical solutions in the fields of both formal and informal education. The symposium is free and can be attended by those engaged in educational projects inside or outside ISKCON, for parents that are homeschooling their children or simply want to improve the quality of the education their children are receiving, couples who are planning to have children, ISKCON leaders or members interested in education, or simply individuals interested in educate themselves in order to upgrade their spiritual lives.
