His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada departed from this world on November 14, 1977 in Vrindavana, India. As Srila Prabhupada explains – “the appearance and disappearance of the Lord and his pure representatives from this world is a cause for celebration”. While there is no need to lament the disappearance of the Lord’s pure nitya-siddha representative at the same time the devotees feel great pangs of separation due to the manifest physical absence of His Divine Grace. It is however an opportunity for devotees to get together to remember and glorify him.
